We want to thank everyone for the donations, we made it. The record is getting pressed as we speak and we are eagerly anticipating a Nov 22nd release. None of this is possible without your support.

When we went into the studio we had a feeling we wouldn’t be doing anything that sounded like our previous records, we were right…this new effort is a complete change for us and we are really excited to share it with everyone. We are working on new videos and we’ll start sharing them ASAP as well!

We can’t wait to get started!

Kick Start Our Heart:

We are trying to raise money to release our new record “The Dirt The Blood The Faith” independently on vinyl with a digital download and to pay for some studio time to polish things up. We are almost finished with recording and we are TAPPED to say the least!! We want to keep the tradition of physical releases alive for our fans who are interested in hearing music the way we intend it to be heard. And to give you that special feeling of holding it, reading it and spinning the shit out of it.

Everyone who donates will receive a signed poster and an exclusive EP called “The Coal Room Demos” The person who makes the highest donation may receive a personal visit from Big Bird or a George Washington impersonator but probably not, they have been blowing us off.

Exciting! The physical copy is not your normal clunky CD release. Instead we have designed and compiled a 30 page lyric and story book that includes the disc on the inside jacket. The book itself is full of all sorts of information about the writing and recording process over these last 4 years as well as some great photographs taken by the band members.

Did a little tracking by our friend Nicky’s this weekend down in Asbury Park. I was happy to see the boardwalk still coming back a bit, we took a break, ate some clams then got back to work. Working on a new song called Gracie…we took a few pic’s as well.

We posted the final mix of “My Dear” on our myspace! Dan did an amazing job on the mix and this puts us about halfway through the record. We are doing this record on our own dime so the process had been slow going. The good news is we should have a label putting it out soon. The waiting and back and forth stuff has been overwhelming. Jonathan almost came to blows with an executive at a label I won’t mention when the ass wipe suggested he wear 80’s hair band clothes and make-up. I don’t know why it got him so upset but it pushed things back a bit. Needless to say that guy got fired for whatever reason anyway…the instability at labels has been pretty rough…ALSO I’m making a movie with a friend this year, pre production has been going real well and I expect it to be done for 2010. We’ll keep you posted on more soon!
